Self-compassion — what makes the work work

Imagine a friend tells you they froze in a work meeting and couldn't find the right words. They feel stupid. They're spiralling about it.

You wouldn't say: "Yeah, that was bad. Why are you like this? Other people manage to speak in meetings." You'd say something kinder. You'd put it in context. You'd remind them it happens to everyone.

Now think about how you talk to yourself when the same thing happens to you. There's almost always a gap. Closing it is the work of this lesson.
